Understanding
spreadsheets: within spreadsheets, the data can be arranged in any format. This ease of use within the spreadsheets results
in data been arranged in a way that it cannot be analyzed easily. For example within spreadsheets, one could have issues
with the following:
- Handling updates effectively due to data replication(please see the note on normalization in the attached page).
In order to ensure that the client gets accurate reports with flexibility in
a timely manner, we have to convert the spreadsheets onto a database. The process is called Data Modeling.
As part of our development process we are also actively engaged in Data Cleansing of MS Excel data.
