Designing Reporting Database: The reporting database needs to be designed in such
a manner so that the following could be achieved:

Quickness of reporting.
· Accurate reporting of facts.
·
Reporting to be enabled across multiple users with the
desired security.
·
The reporting database design structure should be compatible
with the reporting tool been used.
In order to achieve
the above aims, we design the reporting database using the star and snowflake schemas. In order to migrate the data from multiple databases to the target datawarehouse(the database that shall
be used for reporting), we use ETL processes.
